Hapa's - 41 E Lipoa St, Kihei HI 96753 (808) 879-9001 - Look for Willie K on Monday nights, he is a legendary Hawaiian performer and is not to be missed if you love the guitar. Think "Hendrix"! Dancing

LuLu's - 1945 S. Kihei Rd. Supposedly good fish tacos although I've never eaten at the restaurant but the Live entertainment Thurs-Sat, Karaoke on Wednesdays drink specials and lively crowd are enough.

Tiki Bar - 1913 S. Kihei Rd. at Kalama Village. Small but fun watering hole

Life's a Beach - 1913 S. Kihei Rd at Kalama Village. Mexican food, Good and sometimes great live music here as well as a friendly staff and strong drinks

Moose McGillycuddies and Freds Mexican - 2511 South Kihei Road, Kihei 96753 $1 Taco Tuesday Bleeds right into dollar drink night at the Moose which is convienient because they are connected by stairs.

Tsunami - Grand Wailea - Closed until further notice

Kihei Maui Beaches

Makena Big Beach and Little Beach - Perhaps the most well known Maui beach, Makena is very large and with cake flour sand and crystal blue waters you will certainly find paradise. There are outhouses available as well as some BBQ grills and picnic tables. "Little beach" is also located on the north end of Makena but beware, clothing is optional. Both Makena and Little beach receive large surf at times during the summer and serve as excellent sponge/body surfing locations. Little beach is a better option for those less experienced or you can check out the surfing page.

Kam I, II, III - Located along S. Kihei Rd. Lifegaurds, restrooms and showers at all three. Kihei's best place to people watch.

Sugar Beach - Along the stretch from Ma'alaea to Kihei Sugar beach is usually deserted and you will want to skip it also if it is windy unless you want to watch windsurfers. Otherwise a great desolate beach.

Sansei - 2411 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei $$$ - Sansei's will at least match, but will most likely blow away your local sushi bar. Thursday and Saturday nights have the added benefit of free entertainment Karaoke style. It's always fun and delicious. Half off sushi after 10pm Thursdays.

Café O'Lei - 2439 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei $$$ - Seafood, steaks, sushi and dessert. Very good and worth the price.

Shaka Sandwich & Pizza - 1770 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei $ Delicious pizzas and Philly cheese steak sandwiches.

Jaws - 1279 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei $ - I had the best fish tacos of my latest Maui vacation here. The people were friendly and the prices were right.

The Shops at Wailea - 3750 Wailea Alanui Dr Kihei, HI 96753 A nice collection of moderate to high end shops in a two story open air mall

Many small shoping centers along South Kihie Road.

Kihei Maui Historic-Sites

Kihei Maui Surfing

Ma'alaea - West of Ma'alaea harbor. A rare breaker in Maui surfing but when it does, it's the fastest right in the world. Reef break.

La Perouse Bay - Huge south swell location. Consult local surf shops before going unless you are very experienced at reading the ocean. Lava and coral reef point break.
